What is Light·Mix® Peat Free?
Light·Mix® Peat Free has been designed to offer gardeners, growers and horticultural professionals an ecological and more sustainable alternative to traditional peat-based substrates, allowing better control over plant growth.
When in contact with water, the vital microactivity in the substrate is activated, generating organic catalysts that accelerate root development.
Peat-free composition
The components of Light·Mix® Peat Free have been meticulously selected to replicate the advantages of peat, such as its lightness, aeration capacity and water retention.
This substrate is made entirely from renewable and sustainable materials, combining ingredients such as coconut fiber, wood fiber, composted bark, miscanthus, perlite and other organic elements.
How to use
With Light·Mix® Peat Free, you can apply higher doses of nutrients to any type of plant, even those that require additional feeding, without the risk of saturating the substrate and causing over-fertilization. The latter often manifests itself through yellowing of the leaves and dry or burnt tips.
If you use an automatic irrigation system, it is essential to ensure that the water infiltrates the substrate correctly, as excess moisture could encourage the development of mold.
